Excellent article. Has added value to my thinking.

GV, great articles on A/D and MO! Very useful and well written. I personally learnt more about TA from these two articles than any other pre-writen explanations of technical indicators. The examples and charts contributed greately to clarify your points.

Thank You!

InterSat

Thanks Dan and InterSat. It was nice to know that it helped.

Hey GV, I was playing around and came up with this, a little different way to use the A/D!!

Hey, Michael!

As long as you are playing, all is fine. And who knows you might get it right while doing it. :) This is how we get it right sometimes. BUT.. First thing, which I don't think is appropriate but many do it anyway is comparing apples to oranges. NYSE to SPX! We are taking about 3000 stocks to 500. Second, Try to avoid any formation on a chart with many whipsaws like this one above. More whipsaws, more mistakes. Always try, experiment, and test and you will find where your comfort zone, talent, and the green pasture are. No two people alike. May the charts be with you. :)

It looks better now, replaced SPX, with NYSE, and it matches up much better, I already adjusted the speed and time frame to were I am comfortable with the whip-sawing action, it is a short-term chart. Thanks for your feed-back GV!!!

GV, what is going on here, A/D are both moving in the same direction, not inverse to each other, I am still new to this and was not expecting to see something like this happening

Michael, That's good question. You overlooked that there's a third components to the data!! Unchanged issues.
