After the crash last year I got really excited about the stock market thinking there was a lot of money to be made and started reading everything I can get my hands on regarding value investing bought a couple of stocks worth less then their book value in June and usg doubled from 9 to 18 in a couple of months and since I have a margin account it lent doubling my money,

I thought I was a genius and then my other stocks started going down while the market was going up and usg went down to 13 so I started experimenting with selling any of ly stocks that went under the 50 ma didn't work the only thing that has worked for me as of the last couple of months is that after any of my stocks have a big run up when it starts falling after the run up I sell everything and recently I have started doing the same with stocks that start tanking I sell them very quickly cut my losses short I enjoy learning again and again that I don't have control over what happens i got really killed on gigm and ors it is up to G-D

Thank You GV - Fellowship for your insight it is the best

Perhaps I am like many people, feeling absolutely cursed for years when it comes to investing, should have shorted everything I bought on the long side and should have went long on everything I shorted. Then I tried various investing services, maybe the timing was off, and I lost money there too. Finally I started investing in my financial education, to make my own informed decisions. That's what I am doing here and it is a great place for that.

I have followed from MF for long time. I am one of the quiet ones. I have been studying investing and trading for a few years, 4-5 hours per day, every day. Reading all the time and learning all the time. 4 portfolios with different thoughts in each. A little of a risk taker but with a low tolerance for loss. I play puts, calls, earnings, warnings and splits. I love a good chess match (fig).

Learning sometime is a painful experience but it has shown me, my flaws which is also painful. Fear and Greed. It's time for me to get in this game of Life. I am grateful for all I have learned from lurking. Thanks to ALL!

Greetings: I am a 60 yr young hippy, lover of earth and good people.
I've been a paint contractor for decades in SW doing well til 2007, I lost a lot of my savings thru a broker, moved most of the remainder to Scottrade and started studying. I found the fellowship last spring and have been a silent one studying EW and TA along the way. I've made ALL the major mistakes and noted them. I love learning and being associated with people who willing give of themselves for the welfare of others. I did start a WSS account Friday so I could post my trades. Thank you GV, this is a privilege.

Hi, my name is Gyula Nyári from Hungary.

Father of three, and entrepreneur.

I started to trade in the late nineties, and I made money as much than I could build a hotel, which is my own.

I stopped trading in 1999 and I came back to the market after a decade when Lehman failed. I did it pretty well, but anyhow my profit had gone and I were very confused, and stopped in April, because I thought that a big correction should come. As everybody could see, short positions failed, and everything is long.. till now. Perhaps I can learn from the conversation and if I have something competent to tell you I will surely do it.

Be happy, do good and the rest will be taken care of.
